The Aston Martin DB11 was unveiled in 2016 as the first model in the brand’s “Second Century” plan, marking a major step forward for the iconic British manufacturer. Replacing the long-running DB9, the DB11 introduced a new bonded-aluminium platform, fresh design language, and modern technology that signalled Aston Martin’s shift toward a more contemporary, performance-driven future. At launch, it featured a newly developed 5.2-litre twin-turbo V12, later joined by a twin-turbo V8 supplied through Aston’s technical partnership with Mercedes-AMG. The DB11 helped rejuvenate the brand, blending classic grand-touring elegance with modern engineering, and set the foundation for the revitalised lineup that followed, including the DBS Superleggera and the next generation of Aston Martin sports cars.
